C.E.M.&.N.T.
A Primary Objective of Structural Bodywork & Medical Massage is to reduce or eliminate Chronic, Excess Muscle & Nerve Tension & Stress, or C.E.M.&.N.T. for short.
C.E.M.&.N.T. is also known as “tight muscles.” Over tense and over-shortened muscles are responsible for many affections of the human body.
You can read more about C.E.M.&.N.T. on THIS PAGE.
Conditions Addressed with Kyle’s Therapy:
- deviations in leg lengths
- distortions in the pelvis
- functional scoliosis
- extreme lordosis
- kyphosis
- forward neck / head posture
- disc related problems
- rotator cuff injuries
- plantar fasciitis
- pain in the …
- knee
- hip
- back
- shoulder
- neck
All of these in many, if not most, cases have a soft tissue component addressed within each bodywork session. Pain as well usually stems from muscular stresses, tensions & imbalances caused by one group or groups of muscles “locking short” while the opposing muscles are “locking long.”
Stresses and tensions within a muscle cause ischemia (reduced blood flow), hypoxia (reduced oxygen supply), and what we call “neuromuscular discombobulation (confusion between muscle fibers). If such muscular stress and imbalance is left untreated, it often leads to chronic pain. Such injuries very often result from repetitive motion, muscular overload, and poor posture.
Kyle specializes in long-term, chronic pain relief and restoring postural & structural integrity. This is especially true of complex conditions with multiple factors involved.
